Whilst on holiday in Australia, I became a qualified PADI open water diver. I spent a week training and diving on the Great Barrier Reef. I am now qualified to dive to depths of 18m. I hope to be putting this training to use again soon!
My time in Australia and New Zealand allowed me to try white water rafting and skiing for the first time. The skiing was at Coronet Peak and at The Remarkables in New Zealand. I really enjoyed both activities and plan to go again.
When I'm at home I belong to a Petanque club. Petanque is a French boule game usually played at pubs or sometimes in car parks! I have been playing in two or three league competitions each year for the last eight years. You can find out more information about Petanque at the British Petanque Association web site.
Also, when I'm at home I often play an outdoor version of Laser Quest called Headhunters. This involves two teams of people (between 10 and 40 people per team) battling to catch each others flag.
